The Drug-price Transparency for Consumers Act of 2025 aims to improve transparency in the pricing of prescription drugs and biological products that are advertised directly to consumers. The legislation is designed to ensure that consumers have access to crucial pricing information, enabling them to make informed healthcare decisions. Starting July 1, 2026, all direct-to-consumer advertisements for prescription drugs and biological products will be required to prominently display the wholesale acquisition cost (WAC) for a 30-day supply or a typical course of treatment.
