The Drug-price Transparency for Consumers Act of 2025 aims to enhance transparency in the pricing of prescription drugs and biological products advertised directly to consumers. By ensuring that consumers have access to crucial pricing information in advertisements, the Act seeks to empower individuals to make informed healthcare decisions. Starting July 1, 2026, all direct-to-consumer advertisements for prescription drugs and biological products will be required to disclose the wholesale acquisition cost (WAC) for a 30-day supply or a typical course of treatment.
