The main purpose of this legislation is to broaden the scope of opioid overdose reversal agents that can be referenced in certain grant programs managed by the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS). Currently, many references are limited to naloxone, a well-known opioid overdose reversal drug. This bill aims to ensure that other approved opioid overdose reversal drugs are also included in these references.
