The Tornado Observations Research and Notification Assessment for Development of Operations Act, known as the TORNADO Act, aims to enhance the forecasting and understanding of tornadoes and other hazardous weather events, ultimately improving public safety through clearer and more timely information about dangerous weather conditions. The act establishes a hazard risk communication office within the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), which will focus on simplifying the communication of weather risks.
