The Fighter Force Preservation and Recapitalization Act of 2025 is designed to enhance and sustain the fighter aircraft capabilities of the U.S. Air Force and its reserve components. Its primary goals are to ensure a sufficient number of modern fighter aircraft, facilitate the replacement of older models, and establish a comprehensive plan for the future of the Air National Guard's fighter fleet. The Act sets a minimum requirement for the number of fighter aircraft, increasing the total from 1,800 to 1,900 by 2030.
